About Me
Maggie Kelly is a professionally trained performing artist, originally from Komoka, Ontario. At age three she took her first dance class, and four years later, entered her first competition. Maggie competed for ten years, and received early acceptance and a scholarship to attend the Joffrey Ballet School.
Maggie moved to New York City and spent a year at Joffrey, before transferring to Steps on Broadway, where she completed another two and a half years of professional study. In 2019, Maggie was the first Canadian student to graduate from the Steps Conservatory.
Following graduation, Maggie spent six months freelancing in the city, before relocating to Montreal, Quebec in early 2020. She became a certified Zena Rommett Floor Barre instructor in the fall of 2020, and thoroughly enjoyed teaching online throughout the pandemic. Since the spring of 2021, Maggie has involved herself in a variety of productions, both live and virtual, in her hometown and in New York.
Coming up, Maggie will be part of an artistic residency in Ontario, assisting in the creation of a new evening length work for the month of August. Maggie was recently accepted to the BA (Hons) Musical Theatre Performance course at the International College of Musical Theatre in London, England. She is thrilled to be furthering her education overseas in September 2022!
